Medical Biller

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims, and maintaining patient records. This role requires strong communication skills and a thorough understanding of medical billing procedures. Experience in medical billing, preferably Gastroenterology mandatory. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies and government programs
• Review and verify patient information and insurance coverage
• Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve billing discrepancies
• Maintain accurate patient billing records and documentation
• Communicate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance representatives regarding billing inquiries
• Stay updated on changes in billing regulations and insurance policies

Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical billing preferred
• Proven experience in medical billing or a related field
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding (ICD-10, CPT)
• Proficient in billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
