Medical Billing Specialist Job Responsibilities:

• Data enter and review physicians claims in Medical Billing System (i.e., NextGen)
• Apply all coding rules and use of CPT and ICD codes and appropriate use of modifier
• Identify and report to management payer issues with regards to billing and collections.
• Communicate with insurance companies and other parties to clarify billing issues and resolve payment issues
• Assists in identifying areas for improvement, recommending solutions to management and developing policies and procedures

Medical Billing Specialist Qualifications and Requirements:

• 6 months of physician billing experience
• Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care billing experience
• Detail oriented, problem solver/analytical, flexible and self-motivated
• Proficiency with Microsoft (Outlook, Office Word, and Excel)
• Organized, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Works well independently and in a team setting

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit and work at computer for long periods of time.
• Ability to communicate via telephone
• Consistent attendance and to meeting patient billing needs.

Work Environment:

• Remote with possible training onsite during onboarding.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 – 22.00/hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
