Medical Chart Auditor - Behavioral Health

We are hiring a Medical Chart Auditor to join our compliance and quality team. This is a full-time, hourly position designed for a detail-oriented professional with experience in behavioral health documentation and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive audits of medical records to ensure accuracy and compliance with ASAM, LOCUS, State, and payer guidelines
• Review charts for documentation supporting medical necessity and appropriate level of care
• Provide clear feedback to clinical teams and support corrective action planning
• Monitor compliance across Substance Use Disorder, Mental Health, and Eating Disorder programs
• Collaborate with compliance and clinical leadership to strengthen quality assurance processes

• 2–3 years of prior experience in medical chart auditing or utilization review within behavioral health
• Strong knowledge of ASAM Criteria, LOCUS, and payer-specific guidelines
• Familiarity with SUD, Mental Health, and Eating Disorder treatment documentation standards
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Must be based in Florida and able to be on-site in Palm Beach County at least once per week
• Knowledge of industry EMRs such as Kipu and Sunwave
