We are seeking a qualified, dependable, and detail-oriented individual to join our medical team as a Medical Chart Prep Specialist in Louisville, KY, responsible for organizing and preparing patient medical records, ensuring all necessary documents, including demographic information, lab results, and previous medical history, are readily available for providers, thus facilitating efficient patient care.  

1. Gathers and organizes patient charts, including demographic information, medical history, lab results, imaging reports, and other relevant documents.

2. Ensure charts are complete and accurate before patient visits or procedures.

3. Scanning and attaching documents to electronic medical record system.

4. Maintaining accurate and organized patient records.

5. Filing and updating medical records.

6. Manage and maintain chart databases, ensuring all documents are properly stored and easily accessible.

7. Ensuring charts are counter-signed by providers and checking for completeness.

8. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve any discrepancies in chart data, working to correct errors before charts are finalized.

9. Ability to work collaboratively with providers, scheduling staff, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

10. Maintaining confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

11. Performs other duties as assigned to support the mission, values, and strategies of CPIhealth.

Requirements

 1. High School diploma or equivalent required. 

2. Previous relevant experience preferred.

3. Strong organizational, judgment, communication and analytical skills; sometimes under pressure. 

4. Ability to multi-task and perform multiple priorities. 

5. Cooperative and professional behavior toward patients, peers, providers, management and visitors.

6. Ability to promote favorable facility image with patients, providers, insurance companies and general public.

7. Ability to work independently, make decisions, and solve problems.

8. Evidence of leadership qualities. Consistently contributing to the improvement of the department and participate in committee participation, task force, etc.

9. Ability to contribute in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
