Medical Collections Specialist

Our client is in the Durable Medical Equipment space and is seeking a Medical Collections Specialist to join their team ASAP. If you're looking for your chance to get your foot in the door of a growing team where you can make a difference, this is the opportunity for you.

Pay: $24/hr+ depending on experience

Location: Southwest Austin, TX (78735)

Hours: Monday-Friday 8-5 pm

Requirements:

• Medical Collections
• DME experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the medical collections process, ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding accounts.
• Utilize EHR systems and medical coding knowledge to accurately process claims and resolve discrepancies.
• Communicate with patients and insurance companies regarding billing inquiries and payment arrangements.
• Maintain comprehensive medical records and ensure compliance with medical terminology standards.
• Collaborate with the medical office team to streamline collection procedures and improve overall efficiency.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.58 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
