Job Description - Medical Equipment Service Technician | Erie

Join Our Team as a Medical Equipment Service Technician – Make a Difference for Veterans and Seniors!

Columbia Ancillary Services in Harrisburg, PA is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Medical Equipment Service Technician to deliver and service mobility medical equipment, helping our clients live independently and comfortably. Job Summary

  • Deliver and service mobility devices such as power wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, and beds
  • Install and service stair and vehicle lifts to ensure mobility
  • Deliver oxygen and other medical equipment
  • Educate and train clients on the proper use of their medical equipment
  • Maintain inventory of supplies to effectively and efficiently complete the daily jobs
  • Safely drive and maintain the company vehicle
  • Comply with company policy and procedure
  • Assist fellow technicians and warehouse staff as needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid driver's license in good standings
  • Experience with installing and repairing powered mobility equipment is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with low voltages, switches, and controls is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions in this job description:

    • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit, as well as talk and hear
    • The employee is required to use their hands to operate vehicles and other equipment
    • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds
