Our team is seeking a full-time, Haitian Creole MEDICAL INTERPRETER at our Peds & Prenatal Clinic. 

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

We serve a population of approximately 15,000 and provide various clinical and community outreach services at six full-time locations.

Job Summary

Provide language translations/interpretation services for Haitian Creole speaking patients during provider visits, nurse visits, social work visits, phone encounters and for assistance with referral process. This is not a remote position. Candidates must live within commuting distance to the clinic.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No nights
• No weekends

• Communication – Effectively communicates both verbally and written to include listening, interpreting and delivering of communication

• High school diploma / GED
• Proven Fluency in English and Haitian Creole
• Authorized to work in the United States
• At least 1 year experience in interpretation/translation, preferably in medical situations & environments
• Knowledge of medical terms in English and Haitian Creole
• Medical Interpreter certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire
• Reliable means to get to work and to/from clinic sites, as may be needed to meet organizational goals
