Medical Laboratory Scientist - FT- Provo Lab

Position Summary: We are looking for a motivated, outgoing candidate to join our medical technologist staff; a candidate that wants to contribute to the health care team by performing essential laboratory testing at our Provo main campus and our new East Bay microbiology laboratory. As one of our team members you will provide support with the daily activities of the medical laboratory. Our expectation is to provide courteous and friendly service with multiple patients and offices. We expect that you will maintain a professional image in appearance and conduct; balance team and individual responsibilities to contributes to a positive work environment. Because you will interact with all ranges of patients and co-workers must have excellent communication skills to interact effectively.

Essential Job Functions: Provide an excellent customer experience with every encounter to patients and co-workers both in and out of the laboratory. Provide support with the daily activities of the medical laboratory including performing general laboratory testing including high, moderate, and waived complexity. Performance of quality control, troubleshooting and instrument maintenance.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in medical technology, chemistry, or other life science per CLIA regulations. ASCP Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist – General or specialty certification in hematology, chemistry, or microbiology. Previous laboratory experience preferred.

Hours: Must be able to work varied shifts between 6:30 am - 8:30 pm, Monday – Saturday in our Provo and East Bay lab locations.
