Medical Laboratory Technician

Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) - Clinical Laboratory

Location: Kenedy, TX

Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Schedule: Alternating Weeks

• Week 1: Thursday - Saturday
• Week 2: Thursday, Friday, and Sunday
• Duration: 13 Weeks (initial term)

Hourly Rate: Starting at $24/hour (higher with experience)

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join a night shift team in a clinical laboratory setting. The ideal candidate will be experienced, dependable, and able to function effectively with minimal supervision. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is well-rounded across all areas of the lab and enjoys working independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory tests and procedures with accuracy and timeliness.
• Analyze patient specimens across a variety of testing areas.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Adhere to safety protocols and quality control procedures.
• Accurately document and report test results using the CPSI EMR system.
• Support clinical staff by providing timely, reliable diagnostic information.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years clinical laboratory experience (3-5 years preferred).
• Valid Texas MLT license required.
• Certification by one of the following:
• ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology)
• AMT (American Medical Technologists)
• NCA (National Credentialing Agency)
• Or equivalent nationally recognized certifying body
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work night shifts and rotating weekend schedules.
• Professionalism and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
