Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Per Diem Evening Shift

Description

Salary Range: $57.04 - $64.82 + applicable differentials 

Under the direction of the Director, General Laboratory Supervisor, or Lead CLS, the MLT performs technical procedures working with direct supervision of a licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist in specified areas of the clinical laboratory.  These areas include Chemistry, Coagulation, Hematology, Phlebotomy, Serology, Specimen Processing, and Urinalysis.  Must perform, report timely and accurately the test results to assist physicians in their diagnosis and treatment.  Duties include clerical tasks, computer usage, related laboratory services, and other duties as assigned.  Works with potentially infectious blood and body fluid specimens.  Must be competent to assess and meet the needs of patients of all age groups or contact appropriate hospital resource for guidance. May not perform microscopy or highly complex testing under CLIA.
