Job Title Medical Laboratory Technologist - Casual Opportunity Program & Department Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre -> Pathology & Laboratory -> Lab-Core Regular / Temporary Casual Full / Part Time Part-Time Temporary End Date (Anticipated) Union OPSEU Requisition Close Date Salary Plan / Job Grade $36.84 - $50.24 ( OP_06 ) Job Summary & Requirements EDUCATION: General certification in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized post-secondary institute Certification through the Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) Registration with the College of Medical laboratory Technologist of Ontario (CMLTO) in areas of responsibility required EXPERIENCE: Minimum one (1) year recent laboratory experience in related discipline(s), as required by assigned area, preferred Demonstrated ability to develop skill and knowledge in required areas of the laboratory required Experience with current instrumentation/automation in respective area an asset General knowledge of all areas of the laboratory preferred General knowledge of the theory and practices of applicable laboratories procedures and equipment required Meditech and LIS knowledge and experience an asset PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATION: Current registration with the College of Medical laboratory Technologist (CMLTO) in areas of responsibility required Participation in professional committees, networks recommended Unless otherwise stated applicants must have a minimum educational requirement of Grade 12 or equivalent and must demonstrate proven workplace excellence through commitment to strong job performance and attendance.
