Medical Office Administrative Assistant / Tech Assist

Description

• Under physician guidance, uses translation skills to provide examination results and instructions to the patient. 
• Provides immediate communication and exchange between physician/technologist and patient to answer patient questions or concerns. 
• Assists technologist in translation of questions for exam and diagnostic procedures and assists with telephone translation.
• Obtain patient file and escort patient to imaging department’s dressing room.
• Provide pre-examination instructions to the patient.  Addresses patient’s concerns in a pleasant and positive manner as appropriate.
• Schedule all special procedures i.e. Ductograms, Stereotactic and USCBX’s.
• Give pre and post biopsy instructions to the patient.
• Organize paperwork for Stereo, Ductogram and Ultrasound Core biopsy appointments.
• Request any medical release needed from referring physician to proceed for biopsies.
• Do all post biopsies follow up calls for biopsy patients. 
• Prints Bone Density patient reminder letters.
• Translation for imaging department
• Assists Physician and Technologist with all special procedures.
• Prefer 1 year of experience in a medical office or medical setting

Requirements

• Bi-Lingual Spanish
• HS Diploma or equivalent 
• Proficient with computer software programs
