Position Summary:
The Medical Office Coordinator is often times the first person a visitor will meet when entering or calling our business. Making a good first impression is critical and may set the stage for other relationships made within the company. Answering telephones, routing and screening calls, greeting visitors, responding to inquiries from the public, applicants and providing information about the organization, ordering office supplies are all part of the job. The Medical Office Coordinator also assists scheduling of meetings and minutes, preparing reports, travel arrangements, development of manuals, license renewals, copying and distribution, facilitating communication, and the distribution of mail. In addition, they contribute to the security of an organization by helping to monitor the access of visitors. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills—being courteous, professional, and helpful—are critical for this job. Relaying information accurately to others is important.
