An established urgent care practice in the Fresno area is seeking a hands-on, engaging Medical Office Manager. Reporting to and working closely with the Director of Operations, this leader will oversee daily office operations, guide and support staff, and ensure practice protocols are carried out consistently. The Medical Office Manager will identify opportunities to improve workflows, resolve operational challenges, and help maintain a positive experience for patients and employees. The ideal candidate will bring sound judgment, integrity, and a practical leadership style, along with the ability to keep executive leadership informed through regular reporting and feedback.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Lead daily office operations and help maintain a positive, professional work environment.
Monitor and review department KPIs against targets and identify any performance gaps.
Partner with department leads to assign and track deadlines and manage staff accountability.
Oversee staff schedules and ensure appropriate coverage throughout the practice.
Train and support staff in scheduling appointments correctly based on visit type.
Anticipate scheduling conflicts and operational issues and coordinate timely solutions.
Oversee patient payment processes, including insurance-related balances and cash visit pricing.
Monitor the accuracy and appropriate use of the practice management and electronic medical record systems.
Handle financial matters with integrity and attention to detail.
Ensure office procedures align with applicable healthcare rules and practice protocols.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a closely related field.
At least two years of healthcare management experience; five years in a leadership or management role is preferred.
Experience with third-party administrators, personal injury cases, or occupational medicine is preferred.
Experience using electronic medical records and practice management systems; familiarity with Greenway Intergy is preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills when working with staff, patients, and vendors.
Clear, professional written and verbal communication across in-person, phone, email, text, and video interactions.
Position offers a competitive salary between $70,000 - $80,000 annuallywith generous employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k with employer matching, PTO, paid holidays and bonus eligibility.
