Description

At Clewner & Kelly, MD, we have an immediate opening for a Medical Office Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate would have strong hospitality skills and a customer service focus. With a friendly and outgoing personality that can provide exceptional service as our patients are ready to check out.

This position is a Monday - Friday, Day shift, with No Weekends and No Holidays!

Some of the job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Greeting all patients and assisting them as they are ready to check out.
  • Balancing daily payment log
  • Schedule patients appointments
  • Collect and post patient/insurance payments
  • Able to answer the phone and direct/assist the patient
  • Able to post charges for a visit
  • Assist the Front Office Specialist when needed
  • Answering Phones
  • Assist in the cleanliness of the lobby
  • Accurately process end-of-day payment and insurance reconciliation
  • Be well organized and have the ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Have excellent computer skills
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and team members.
  • Must be flexible in work assignments and schedule; demonstrate commitment to ongoing education and cumulative skill mix.
  • Must uphold the highest ethical principles of maintaining confidentiality and other performance standards.

Requirements

As an ideal candidate would need to have:

  • 1+ year(s) Medical Office Receptionist experience, ideally in an outpatient setting
  • Good communications skills in person or via phone
  • Strong Customer Service Focus
  • Strong computer skills
  • Be able to multitask
  • EMR/EHR System knowledge
  • Experience in healthcare front office/administration is required
  • Medical billing/payment posting experience is a plus but not required
  • Ophthalmology experience preferred but not required
  • Nextech (Intellechart Pro) is a plus
