Medical Receptionist - Urgent

Robert Half Healthcare is supporting a growing medical practice in need of a dependable Part-Time Patient Registration Specialist. 

The Part-Time Patient Registration Specialist is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the medical office. This includes greeting patients and visitors, scheduling appointments, answering phones, maintaining patient records, and processing payments. The ideal candidate will be organized, efficient, and have excellent customer service skills.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner

Schedule appointments in person and by phone

Answer phones and direct calls to the appropriate person

Maintain patient records and files

Process payments and insurance claims

Order supplies and maintain inventory

Perform other administrative tasks as assigned

- Comprehension of medical terminology and insurance products

- Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment

- High School Diploma required, A.S. Degree in healthcare/related field preferred

- Prior experience with multi-line phone systems preferred

- Proficiency in Copays

- Knowledge of Verify Insurance Coverage

- Epic EMR experience desired

- Excellent telephone etiquette and keyboard skills

- 1+ year of experience as a Medical Receptionist

- This role requires you to have experience with insurance billing and an electronic medical record system
