What You’ll Do:
Coordinate receipt and distribution of medical records for HLI clients
Work directly with clinicians and clinical staff to fulfill incoming and outgoing record requests
Ensure timely retrieval of external medical records to support scheduled client visits
Submit records requests to outside providers, hospitals, and imaging centers as needed
Track status of outstanding requests and follow up to ensure completion
Organize, upload, and index incoming medical records in HLI’s EMR for clinician access
Verify accuracy and completeness of medical records before distribution
Import external images and reports into HLI PACS for clinician review
Respond to clinician and clinical staff inquiries regarding the status of requested records
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and internal privacy protocols when handling all records
Support special projects or bulk record transfers as directed by the clinical team
What We’re Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance regulations
Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Veradigm
Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adapt to various audiences
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in a medical environment
Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
A collaborative, team-oriented approach to problem-solving and service
Preferred Qualifications:
Some college or technical training
A customer-centric mindset, with a knack for anticipating needs and providing exceptional service
Independent work ethic with minimal supervision
Strong Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with Salesforce, WebEx, DocuSign, and Macintosh systems
