Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Retrieval Specialist to manage and obtain medical records for our personal injury cases. This role is essential in ensuring that our legal team has the accurate and complete information needed for effective case management and representation.

In this position, you will work closely with our attorneys, clients, and medical facilities to retrieve necessary documentation in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and compile a list of required medical records for personal injury cases.
  • Request medical records from healthcare providers, hospitals, and clinics.
  • Communicate with clients to obtain necessary authorization for record retrieval.
  • Follow up with medical facilities to ensure timely receipt of requested records.
  • Review and organize received medical records for easy access and analysis.
  • Maintain accurate records of requests and receipts in our case management system.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to ensure all relevant medical information is included in case files.
  • Adhere to confidentiality regulations and protect client information.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in medical records retrieval or similar administrative role preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with medical professionals and clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and work independently.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus but not required.
