Job Description - Medical Records Specialist

Since 2012, Giving Home Health Care has been supporting individuals impacted by health conditions related to their work in nuclear facilities for the Department of Energy.   • Proficiency in spreadsheet analysis using Excel
  • Proficiency with the MS office platform to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as other platforms

  • Willingness to actively engage in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong reading, writing and skills
  • Must be comfortable in an ever-changing environment
Requirements:
  • Update documentation for patients
  • Provide necessary training to patients, home health aides, and nurses as required
  • Communicates and build rapport to providers and facilities
  • Conduct visits to patient’s homes to build and strengthen relationships with the patient and their family members.
  • Filing compliance paperwork as needed from contractors
  • Assist in the preparation and processing of patient assessments and care plans.
  • Collaborate with care teams, patients, and their healthcare providers to obtain medical documentation for their home care renewals every six months

  • ******Must undergo and pass a background check with the Department of Health******
