Medical Registration Specialist

Excelsior Wellness is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Medical Registration Specialist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will bring strong customer service expertise, a positive and professional attitude, and outstanding multitasking abilities. This key role will support our clinic by managing client interactions, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow, and contributing to the overall quality of care in a safe, welcoming environment.

Basic Daily Responsibilities:

• Customer Service and initial chart creation· Patient outreach phone calls for multiple work queues to ensure data integrity and to maximize accuracy and reimbursement· Assisting patients in registration in multiple EHR systems· Generate new patient paperwork via hard copy or FormDr and MyChart


• Assisting providers with follow-up phone calls
  


• Checking patients out of appointments


• Scheduling patient appointments


• Answering phones


• Knowledge of insurance verification programs such as Provider One and Availity.

Supervisory Duties:
This position has no direct supervisory duties.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum high school education or equivalent. Associate degree in healthcare or business-related field preferred.· Ability to work independently and efficiently, with a wide range of constituents.


• Valid state driver’s license.
  


• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.


• Experience in healthcare operations, registration, insurance, and/or scheduling.
