The California Sinus Centers, a division of BASS Medical Group, seeks a full time Surgery Scheduler/Coordinator for their Walnut Creek location. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, where multi-tasking skills are key. You will have a high degree of responsibility and independence.

Job Duties Include:

• Scheduling surgeries, in-office procedures, and pre/post-op appointments for multiple physicians
• Verifying patient insurance eligibility and coverage
• Discussing preoperative instructions with the patient, as directed by the physicians
• Obtaining all requested medical clearances, preoperative testing, lab and EKG results as indicated
• Calculate and provide estimated financial responsibility to patients prior to services.
• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Excellent customer service/interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well with medical office staff and outside agencies
• Medical terminology
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Superb attention to detail
• Experience with medical insurance verification and authorizations for medical procedures
• EHR/EMR experience (Epic strongly preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, fax, printers, scanners, and other office software
• Preferred 2+ years' experience as a surgery scheduler in an outpatient medical clinic

Education Requirements:

• GED or High School diploma (College preferred)

Pay Scale/Ranges:

$21.00 - $28.00 *
