Job Description: As a Medical Scribe you are the right-hand of the provider. Providing better care o the patients by enabling the provide to focus solely on the patient and less upon other tasks that distract the providers from giving quality care. Medical scribe is also specifically responsible for the following functions and duties, including, but no limited to the following.

• Assisting provider by providing tele psychiatry set up to he patient for daily rounds.
• Gathering medical records, labs, patient demographics, prescription records for provider to review.
• Assisting provider in arranging family meetings for patients when needed.
• Assisting provider in maintaining and submitting legal paperwork for inpatient car.
• Scribing medical notes for new patients and follow ups.
• Assisting provider in setting up meetings with treatment team when needed.
• Ensure accurate documentation of all patient interactions and treatment of the patients.
• Maintain professional and respectful relationship with patients/staff/providers.
• Help the provider in any task that they need, getting patients, finding charts, getting medical records, and finding labs.
• Coordinating with social workers/nurses.
• Ensure charts are up to date.
• All initial evals/progress notes/discharge summaries are in the chart.
• Flag any missing signatures for the provider and let them know they need to be signed.
• Completion of all notes, initial Evaluation, progress notes, and discharge Summaries.
• Complete weekend visit to hospital.
