Job Description - Medical Sonographer New York NY (Upper East Side)

Medical Sonographer New York NY (Upper East Side)
We are looking for an experienced Medical Sonographer to join our Women’s Health Medical group full time in NY, NY (Upper East Side). Ideally, we are seeking a sonographer with at least 3 years of medical imaging/sonography experience, who is licensed in NY, and is RMDS and NT certified. We are a fantastic Women’s Health Group with a reputation for providing the highest level of care and are looking for a team player who enjoys helping others.

Essential Functions:

Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations.
Reviews patient’s medical history and physician’s instructions.

Prepares equipment for procedure. Selects appropriate equipment settings.
Explains procedure to patient and records any medical history that might be relevant to the condition being viewed.
Directs the patient to move into positions that will provide the best view.
Uses independent judgment during the sonographic exam to accurately differentiate between normal and abnormal areas.
Selects images to show the physician for diagnostic purposes. Takes measurements, calculates values, and analyzes the results in preliminary reports for the physicians.
Completes preliminary examination reports for review with attending physician.

Requirements:

Medical imaging: 3 years (Required)
Physiology knowledge: 3 years (Required)
Sonography: 3 years (Required)
NT certified
RMDS certified (Required)

Schedule:

Full time Monday-Friday

Compensation:

$90k-$100k annually based on experience
