Greenberg-Larraby, Inc. (GLI) is looking for several dedicated Medical Supply Technician to enhance our healthcare operations at a well-known facility in Louisville, KY.
In this pivotal role, you will ensure the effective management of our medical supply inventory, contributing directly to the delivery of quality patient care.
As a Medical Supply Technician, you will be responsible for receiving, processing, and maintaining medical supplies and equipment. You will work collaboratively with various departments to ensure an uninterrupted supply of essential materials needed for patient treatments and procedures.
Your meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills will play a critical role in our mission to serve our patients with excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and verify medical supplies against purchase orders and delivery invoices.
Organize and store supplies according to best practices and safety regulations.
Conduct regular inventory audits to monitor usage and prevent shortages.
Prepare and distribute medical supply orders efficiently to various departments.
Maintain accurate records of supplies, including expiry dates and reorder levels.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least one year of experience in a medical supply technician role.
Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to safety protocols.
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Medical Supply Technician
✔ Physical inventory
Counting stock
Verifying quantities
Updating inventory logs
Scanning barcodes
Maintaining par levels
✔ Stocking & replenishment
Restocking supply rooms
Rotating inventory (FIFO)
Checking expiration dates
Removing expired or damaged items
✔ Logistics & distribution
Delivering supply carts to units and patient care areas
Bringing supplies to OR, ED, ICU, med-surg, etc.
Transporting equipment or supply bins
Ensuring items are in the correct locations
✔ Supply chain operations
Receiving supplies
Storing clean and sterile items properly
Communicating with nurses, providers, and supply chain staff.
Physical ability to lift and transport medical supplies as necessary.
Fluent in English (written and verbal)
Ability to lift 50 lbs and push loaded carts 100+ lbs
