Job Description - Medical Supply Technician, Louisville, KY

Greenberg & Larraby, Inc. (GLI) is looking for several Medical Supply Technicians for a long term contract in Louisville, KY. Apply now for immediate consideration. Thank you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain stock levels in primary and secondary inventory areas throughout the hospital
  • Pull, pick, and deliver medical and surgical supplies to wards, clinics, OR, and remote units
  • Scan, barcode, and update supply transactions in automated systems (GIP, VISTA, PAR EX, AbovePAR)
  • Replenish supply rooms and carts according to established PAR levels
  • Rotate inventory using FIFO principles; monitor and remove expired or damaged items
  • Review hazard alerts and product recalls; escalate issues to supervisors or Inventory Specialists
  • Conduct daily cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies in stock
  • Clean and organize storage areas, shelves, and bins following facility infection control methods
  • Receive, unpack, and shelve inbound supply shipments
  • Prepare and maintain specialty carts used for clinical procedures
  • Respond to urgent requests using provided communication devices
  • Support annual, quarterly, and spot wall-to-wall inventories
  • Maintain accurate stock documentation and communicate shortages or supply issues
  • Adhere to all VA SOPs, safety requirements, PPE rules, and security protocols
  • Interact professionally with clinical staff, veterans, logistics teams, and vendors
  • Perform other supply and logistics duties as assigned by supervisors

Basic Qualifications (Required)

  • Ideally, a minimum of 2+ years of experience in hospital supply chain, logistics, sterile supply, or medical inventory
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and push loaded carts 100+ lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move supplies throughout a full shift
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel; ability to learn medical inventory systems
  • Must pass background investigation, fingerprinting, and PIV badging
  • Must complete privacy, cybersecurity, and rules-of-behavior training
  • Shifts are day shifts only.
  • Must follow strict PPE and infection control procedures.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or hold a Green Card.
