Medical Technician

We are hiring an Optometric/Medical Technician for a fantastic eye care practice in Olathe, KS, where you can look forward to significantly impacting patients' lives in a supportive and innovative healthcare environment! You don't need any experience in eye care, as full training will be given.

The Optometric Technician will be integral to the patient care experience, performing essential duties including, but not limited to:

• Assisting the Optometrists with eye examinations
• Conducting pre-examination testing
• Managing patient records and files, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
• Communicate directly with patients to explain procedures
• Address patient needs, ensuring comfort and understanding
• Track and organize contact lens orders
• Serve as a liaison between patients and doctors, especially for specialty lenses
• Assisting patients with inquiries about services, treatments, and procedures, providing clear and helpful information.

Hourly pay ranges from $16.00 to $21.00, depending on experience. Full-time employees qualify for a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, a 401(k) with company match, and paid time off. Four-day workweek options are also available!

Requirements:

• Prior experience in optometry or ophthalmology would be preferred but is not required as full training can be given.
