Job Title: Medical Technologist (Generalist)

Location: St. Petersburg, FL

Schedule: 5x8 Hour Night Shift | 11:30 PM - 7:00 AM | Rotating Weekends

Hourly Pay Range:

• Minimum: $27.09
• Midpoint: $32.51

Night Shift Differential: +$4/hr

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Technologist (Generalist) for an overnight hospital-based position. Youll play a critical role in delivering timely and accurate lab results while working in a supportive environment that values quality, teamwork, and patient-centered care. This role requires a Florida Medical Technologist license and recent blood bank experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate and timely testing across various clinical specialties, including blood bank, serology, chemistry, hematology, and microbiology.
• Analyze proficiency testing samples and complete procedures within turnaround targets.
• Correlate and interpret patient results using sound judgment and independent thinking.
• Maintain required documentation and resolve outstanding work logs.
• Take corrective action when control or patient results fall outside acceptable ranges.
• Serve as a department lead when the supervisor is unavailable.

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field (Bachelors preferred)
• Florida Medical Technologist license required
• Generalist license preferred (or at least 3 of the following: Blood Bank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology)
• Recent blood bank experience required
• At least 1 year of clinical lab experience preferred (new grads welcome)
• Must have US-based technologist experience
