Medical Technologist Clinical Laboratory

Job Title: Medical Technologist (MT/MLT) - Clinical Laboratory

Location: Kenedy, TX

Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Schedule: Alternating Weeks (Week 1: Thursday-Saturday | Week 2: Thursday, Friday, and Sunday)

Hourly Rate: Starting at $28/hour (higher based on experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to work overnight shifts in a clinical laboratory setting. The ideal candidate is well-rounded, experienced, and capable of working independently during night shifts on a rotating schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform clinical laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory policies, protocols, and safety standards.
• Analyze specimens across a variety of laboratory disciplines.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Document results clearly and enter data into the EMR system (CPSI).
• Collaborate with clinical staff to support timely patient diagnosis and treatment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical laboratory experience (3-5 years preferred).
• Must have a valid Texas Medical Technologist license.
• Graduate of a CLIA-approved Laboratory Science program or certified by one of the following:
• ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology)
• AMT (American Medical Technologists)
• AB (American Board)
• HEW (Health and Education Welfare)
• Strong technical knowledge in all core laboratory areas.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
