Medical Technologist (MT)

Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Medical Technologists to support the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System located at 215 Perry Hill Rd, Montgomery, AL 36109.If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests in Chemistry, Blood Bank, Hematology, Immunology, Urinalysis, and Microbiology (preferred).
• Conduct quality control procedures, including calibration of instruments.
• Troubleshoot instrument errors and document maintenance.
• Review critical results and notify appropriate personnel following established protocols.
• Maintain accuracy and reliability with minimal supervision.
• Participate in staff meetings, continuing education, and compliance training.
• Follow patient safety and infection control standards.
• Maintain detailed documentation of laboratory results in electronic health records.

Qualifications

• Certification from ASCP, AMT, or equivalent (MT, MLS, or CLS certification).
• Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science, medical technology, or related field.
• Completion of medical technology clinical practice program.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a generalist (experience across all lab areas preferred).
• Experience in Microbiology is preferred but not required.

All candidates must be able to:

• Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift


• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist


• Lift up to 20 lbs


• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance


• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
