Job Summary
* Performs clinical laboratory tests.
* Assures instrumentation is operating according to industry standards.
* Continually strives to improve processes to achieve accurate test results in a cost effective and efficient manner.
* Occasionally supervises activities of phlebotomists and clerks on specific tasks.
* Occasionally functions as acting supervisor.
* Reports to a Laboratory Manager or Supervisor.
* Receives general supervision from Pathologists, Director, Lead Technologist and Medical Technologists.
Qualifications
Education
* Bachelor's degree and Medical Technology (MT) certification with American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent.
* Must meet the minimum requirements of the Clinical Laboratory Act of 1988.
Experience
* At least 1 years of MT background
(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)
Licensure/Certification
* Registered with ASCP (or eligible for registry) as a Medical Technologist or equivalent
Compensation/Benefits
* $24.75-$43.71/hr depending on previous experience
