Job Description - Medical Utility Lead (12 Hour Shift - Days)



Full-time


Description

  • Provides 26 full weekends off (not including vacation). Weekend includes Friday - Sunday off!
  • Provides 182 days off per year (not including vacation)
  • 6:00AM - 6:30PM (Days) 
  • Week starts Sunday and ends Saturday
  • 2 Days Work-2 Days Off, 3 Days Work - 2 Days Off, 2 Days Work - 3 Days Off
  • Work every other weekend

Position Focus: 

This position is responsible for assisting Leadership in daily routine activities that positively impact the efficiency and quality of the product shipped.

Critical Responsibilities:

  • Train operators and qualify operators on all production jobs.
  • Cover breaks and ensures breaks are given to all production team members (minimum of 4 breaks).
  • Assist management in shift reporting and accurate scrap reporting as needed. Ability to explain the labor and scrap variances using the daily reports.
  • Schedule production team members in the absence of the Leadership.
  • Print and create labeling necessary for product identification. 
  • Perform inventory as needed by management and do cycle count as required.
  • Assist all production team members on improving 5-S.
  • Actively participates in and supports the implementation and maintenance of the company's documented quality system as appropriate.
  • Participate in the Continuous Improvement Program
  • Complete daily audit sheet for Utility Lead (SH09056F)
  • Ability to complete daily audit sheet for Shift Leaders (SH17003F)
  • Perform Line Clearance procedure (SH09055F, SH30068W):

a. Have necessary parts and components available on the production floor and in assembly area so manufacturing is not interrupted. It is preferred to stock the next shift for 4-hours of production time. See B.O.M. for all needed materials.

b. Bring all totes to the floor, remove all labels, and ensure that no parts or debris have been left in them.

c. Clear finished products from production area and verify no product is on the floor or in the area to ensure product is not mixed. 

d. Move product to correct warehouse location.

e. Label all full W.I.P. skids with the part number, CMC # and date ran to ensure FIFO is followed. 

f. Be responsible for removing partial boxes at the end of runs.  Weight counting and placing partial boxes of components and parts, in the proper storage area at the end of production runs.  

g. Ensure partial boxes of components and finished goods are brought to the press at the start of the production cycle to maintain First in First Out (FIFO) of all materials.

  • Assist in handling of raw material and tools if needed.
  • Set scales to ensure proper counts on parts and components.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary that contribute to the overall efficiency of the company, including running production presses as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in handling and documenting materials.
  • Ability to identify and report discrepancies in inventory.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving heavy materials.
  • Endurance for standing, walking, and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with other team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must maintain an acceptable level of performance and attendance.
