 CPIhealth is a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to individuals experiencing chronic pain. With state-of-the-art facilities, advanced technology, and a collaborative environment, we offer a platform for healthcare providers to excel in their specialties while making a profound difference in the lives of those we serve. 

We have an immediate need for a dependable, resourceful, and detail-oriented individual to join our medical team as a Medical Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant at our Terre Haute Clinic and Surgery Center. This role involves providing both clinic and front desk support and will need to travel between both sites. 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examination, escort them to the treatment room and be present during examination/treatment to assist the physician in treatment procedures.
  • Measures, collects and records patient's vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height).
  • Interviews patients and records or inputs information to patients' medical record. 
  • Collects all medical data to help the physician's ability to draw conclusions about the patient's needs. Ensure all charts and forms for the office visit are ready for the provider.
  • Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Cleans rooms after procedures, cleans and disinfects equipment, restocks supplies.
  • Monitor patients’ recovery process, inform the provider of observations, and recommend changes in unresponsive treatment techniques.
  • Maintain communication with patients after treatment to monitor their progress and suggest continuous treatment in the event of a relapse.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing workflows and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and always maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Assist in keeping ASC orderly and follows appropriate cleaning protocols.
  • On occasion, will provide front desk support by:
  • Greeting and assisting patients with check-in, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records.
  • Verify insurance and maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording and updating personal and financial information.
  • Provide information concerning outstanding patient balances and collect outstanding funds.
  • Collect co-pays and create patient receipts.
  • Scanning medical records received to patient’s chart in EHR.
  • Maintain patient waiting area.
  • Assist patients with after visit transportation needs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the mission, values, and strategies of CPIhealth.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Recent Medical Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant experience or similar duties preferred.
  • Stable work history.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medical environment.
  • Previous scheduling experience preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Computer proficiency, including keyboarding, Microsoft Office, and eClinicalWorks or similar Electronic Medical Record platform.
  • Proficient in typing, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Ability to exhibit core values (Honesty, Respect, Teamwork, Professionalism, Confidentiality, Quality of Care) and regularly encourage others to do the same.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with superiors and peers.
