Medical/Surgical LPN

Shifts Available: Days

Employment Type: Full-Time  

Hours: 12-hour shifts – 7:00 am to 7:00 pm

Location: Providence Medical Center- Kansas City, KS

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to):

• Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, assisting with ADLs, and supporting treatment plans in a Med/Surg unit
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols
• Perform basic patient assessments, observe changes in condition, and report findings to the RN/physician
• Assist with wound care, post-operative care, and management of chronic and acute conditions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in our EPIC EMR/EHR systems
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and disease management

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: 

• Current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain it current.
• IV certification within 90 days of hire.
