Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse – Travel Position

Shift: 3x12s Nights
Pay: $2,077.20/week

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to join on a travel contract in Bismarck, ND. This role is located in the 3CC Medical-Surgical unit, a 30-bed floor providing care to patients with a wide range of medical and post-surgical conditions. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care including assessments, vital signs monitoring, and implementation of care plans.


• Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and wound care safely and accurately.


• Monitor patient conditions and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes promptly.


• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions.


• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary staff to provide coordinated care.


• Respond to emergencies and perform interventions as needed.


• Float to other units as required to support hospital staffing needs.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license in North Dakota (or compact license).


• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).


• Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience.


• Current certification in Basic Life Support.


• COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.


• Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
