Description

The Medicare Specialist at Great Waters Financial serves as the primary resource for prospects, clients, and customers seeking Medicare guidance. Effective listening and understanding the needs of the client and providing them with the solution that is best for them are the core aspects of the role. The Medicare Specialist leads the charge in delivering an exceptional experience by conducting meetings, overseeing the pipeline, and servicing Medicare clients and customers throughout the year. Additionally, the Medicare Specialist presents and facilitates educational seminars, achieves target levels of conversion and close rates, and actively contributes to expanding our reach within the market.

Responsibilities

  • Master software systems such as Salesforce CRM, custodian and insurance company platforms, and internal tools to support Medicare operations. 
  • Communicate effectively  with clients to provide guidance on Medicare policies, coverage options and enrollment processes. 
  • Meet and exceed sales objectives, ensuring target conversion rates and successful policy closures. 
  • Manage the entire Medicare client experience from initial consultation and enrollment, to ongoing service and support. 
  • Manage the prospect pipeline, including follow-up emails and phone calls.
  • Ensure accurate CRM maintenance, properly documenting and distributing critical client and referral information accordingly. 
  • Drive Medicare client acquisition by attending, facilitating, and presenting at educational workshops and marketing events focused on Medicare enrollment and benefits. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to further company initiatives and improve Medicare-related services. 
  • Complete all necessary certifications, such as AHIP, to maintain Medicare sales eligibility and expertise. 

Requirements

  • Life & Health Insurance License
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Working Expectations

  • In-office, client facing position
  • Occasional evening hours may be required for events/workshops.
  • Travel may be required for attending workshops or in-person client meetings.

The salary range for this role is $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 annually. In addition, Great Waters offers employees a 401k plan with an employer matching schedule, Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, 10 paid company Holidays, an annual wellness stipend, and paid-time off. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus driven by organization and individual performance.
