Medication Access Specialist

A large healthcare system in Dallas has an immediate opening for a Medication Access Specialist.

This is a temp-to-hire position. Position is hybrid for training and then can transition to remote.

Current pharmacy technican or LVN certifications - must be in good standing.

Responsibilities

Texas Pharmacy Technician or LVN certifications, must be in good standing.
Top skills: Call center experience. On base Experience. Epic experience. Previous experience in handling refill requests or Prior Authorizations.
Receives and processes all requests for medication refills by fax, phone, person to person and by electronic format.
Works with physicians to ensure refill protocols are in place.
Uses clinic protocols and researching patient information to assist care providers with medication refills.
Corresponds with insurance companies regarding prior authorizations for medications.
