Description

The Worker's Compensation Historian is responsible for obtaining a complete historical and comprehensive narrative of the examinees work related injury, treatment and present complaints.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must have experience with Med-Legal Worker's Compensation reporting
  • Must have thorough understanding of AMC Guides 5th edition and Labor codes 4663 & 4664
  • Excellent reading, comprehension, writing and grammar skills
  • Must be well versed with anatomic and medical terminology
  • Strong organizational skills, detailed-oriented, and ability to handle multiple task
  • Must exhibit a high degree of professional excellence characterized by sound independent judgment, initiative and high standard of ethics.
  • Must possess high attention to detail
  • Excellent interviewing and social skills

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 2 years' work experience in Workers Compensation cases
  • Experience in Orthopedics and Pain Management preferred
  • Dependable and organized
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and follow up on assignments
  • Self-starter, proactive and works well with little supervision
  • Excellent analytical skills, likes to be accurate and attention to detail
  • Intermediate or higher skill level in WordPerfect and/or Word office
  • Associates degree or higher
  • Bilingual is a plus, not essential
