Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position
Location: Lafayette, LA
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12s Nights, Rotating
Pay: $2097/week
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to patients with diverse medical conditions and post-surgical needs. The Med-Surg RN will assess, plan, and implement care plans, administer treatments, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure positive patient outcomes. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and skilled in managing multiple patients in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care on medical-surgical units.
Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and update care plans.
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed.
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge care.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Document all assessments, interventions, and progress accurately.
Qualifications:
Active RN license in LA
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, COVID vaccine, recent TB test
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
