What You'll Do:

As an MER I, you'll be the friendly face that greets our members and helps them with their financial needs. You'll receive top-notch training and guidance from our experienced team, ensuring you have all the tools you need to succeed. Here's a snapshot of your day-to-day:

  • Live Our Core Values:
    • Make It Right: Always do the right thing for our members and community.
    • Make It Easy: Provide simple, convenient financial solutions.
    • Make It Personal: Build deep, personal relationships with our members.
  • Account Services:
    • Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and more.
    • Open and close accounts, reorder checks, and handle debit card issues.
    • Assist members with account inquiries and provide information on account status.
  • Member Education:
    • Screen membership applications and determine eligibility.
    • Identify members' financial needs and recommend products and services.
    • Educate members about our electronic and online services.
  • Problem Solving:
    • Investigate and resolve account issues.
    • Assist with ATM and fraudulent account activity claims.
    • Stay vigilant for fraud and abuse patterns.
  • Cash Handling:
    • Ensure cash and negotiable items are secure.
    • Reconcile daily cash transactions.
    • Assist with ATM cash verification and replenishment.
  • Community Involvement:
    • Represent OceanAir at community events like Shredding Day and Seabee Days.
    • Achieve monthly sales and survey goals.

Requirements

 What We're Looking For:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in customer service, preferably in a financial institution.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software.
  • A positive attitude and a passion for helping others.
