Member of Technical Staff, ML Engineering

They've already achieved product-market fit, with demand exceeding their current supply. Backed by world-class investors like Keith Rabois, Nat Friedman, and Daniel Gross, they've raised over $30M to scale quickly and have seen 10x revenue growth in the last five months. They are partnered with some of the largest accounting firms in the world and have an interdisciplinary team of top minds in ML, engineering, and accounting.

As a leader on the World Modeling team, you'll be a key part of defining the context and rules in which AI agents operate. This is a critical role that involves designing and building the "world" for their AI systems. You'll work on complex problems, such as how to model and explain accounting to an AI agent, and define the constraints for navigating this complex world. This is a high-risk, high-reward role with significant ownership from day one.

You will be responsible for:

• Designing and building the core world for AI agents to interact with.
• Developing coding abstractions and modeling interconnected systems.
• Defining the context and rules for AI agents.
• Making critical technical decisions and debating trade-offs.

We are seeking a deeply technical and motivated engineer with strong ML fundamentals and a passion for tackling complex problems.

Must-Haves:

• 4–8 years of experience developing complex systems.
• Proven ability to own projects end-to-end at a fast-paced startup.
• Expertise in Python and modeling interconnected systems.
• A strong background in CS, physics, math, or statistics.
• The ability to thrive in an intense, in-office, startup environment.
• Willingness to work on-site, 5 days a week, in NYC.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with first-principles thinking in ML.
• A degree from a top 30 university.
• Experience with Postgres.

• Salary: $150,000–$300,000
