Member Services Associate

Position Location: Galesburg, Illinois

Reports To: Director of Member Services

Position Summary: 

 The Member Service Associate plays a key role in ensuring an unparalleled customer experience for the Company’s members who receive monthly deliveries of seafood to their doorstep. This detail-oriented member of the team assists in customer service and delivery functions to support successfully getting values-based seafood onto the plates of fish-lovers around the country. The Member Service Associate must be knowledgeable and friendly and have a sincere desire to assist customers, as well as possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills in order to exceed the expectations of members who require assistance via phone, email, or live chat. 

CORE POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Execute customer service functions, including prompt and accurate responses to customer emails and phone messages
• Entertain and delight our members while solving any issues they may have
• Execute data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
• Maintain the accuracy of order and customer data across order management systems
• Work closely with the warehouse and supply chain team to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders that meet quality and customer service standards
• Prioritize and process customer orders and requests submitted by telephone, email, or live chat
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints quickly and patiently

DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to learn and effectively utilize a variety of software applications, such as Zendesk, Shopify,, Google Docs, and Excel
• Should possess strong people and communication skills (both verbal and written)
• The ability to listen to members and act swiftly to solve their problems
• Ability to empathize with customers who may have an issue
• Previous customer service experience preferred, but not required.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred
