To assist members and potential members with their Credit Union needs; explains services, sets up new accounts, respond to problems, and direct members to the appropriate people.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Assists members and potential members with their Credit Union needs; explains services, sets up new accounts, respond to problems, and directs members to the appropriate people.
• Assists members with opening and closing accounts, answers questions about products and services and resolves problems that are within their authority to resolve. Refers problems that are beyond their authority to their supervisor, along with their recommendations.
• Identifies cross-sell opportunities and cross-sells services to members.
• Maintains member account information on computer system.
• Assures that appropriate records are maintained and required reports are prepared.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Acts as liaison between members and various organizations and departments.

Performance Measurements

• Participates fairly in the handling of ICD calls and email responses providing friendly, prompt, professional and accurate service and support to all members and coworkers in a timely manner, and assist lobby members within 5 minutes.
• Maintains knowledge of new products and Symitar to proficiently transact member business.
• Opens all types of accounts, products and services accurately. Ensures all related forms are complete and legible with minimal errors.
• Proactively seeks opportunities to cross sell products and services to members as appropriate.
• Obtains basic IRA knowledge of forms and transactions.
• Processes member transactions with minimal errors.
• Completes quarterly BVS modules in a timely manner with a passing grade of 90%.
• Represents the credit union in a community functions and completes six hours of community service.
• Attends and participates in assigned committee meetings and events.

• One year to three years of similar or related experience.
• A high school education or GED.
• Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
• Able to operate a 10-key calculator, typewriter, and computer keyboard.
