Summary of Role:
The Member Services Representative provides direct support by developing and maintaining relationships with our current and potential future members. This role is member-focused and is responsible for transactions, resolving account problems, and providing assistance and information regarding other products and services of the Credit Union.?The Member Services Representative will exercise good judgment in various situations, use superb communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and balance multiple competing priorities. This position requires professionalism, flexibility, initiative, and great teamwork.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities: (other duties as assigned)
Assists members with adding additional products or services to accounts, processes transactions, and addresses and resolves member problems, inquiries, or complaints. Refers problems to supervisor as needed, along with recommendations for resolution.
Identifies opportunities to cross-sell additional products or services to members.
Confers with members by telephone or in-person to provide information about products or services.
Maintains accurate member account information on the computer system and prepares required reports for management.
Ensures compliance with all applicable Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulations.
Maintains a professional work environment and businesslike appearance.
Acts as liaison between members and various departments.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements
Educations/ Experience:
Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
A high school education or GED.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong computer and general office equipment knowledge
Ability to deal with multiple, changing priorities and interruptions in a multi-faceted work environment.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail including the ability to organize time effectively and remain flexible to effectively meet competing demands requiring skill and attention.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate respectfully with all personality styles.
Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job
Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external members, developing and maintaining positive relationships
Willingness to learn new technology
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is located in an office environment with frequent interruptions and a quiet to moderate noise level. Computer use is frequent and regular. Automobile travel, typically within the State of Maine, is frequent.
