Position Summary:
The Member Services Representative II processes financial transactions efficiently, accurately, and with the highest level of customer service. Incorporates Service Plus into all aspects of member contacts and continually builds relationships with members in order to retain and increase memberships. The Member Services Representative II further enhances these relationships through the cross-selling of credit union products and services to meet all the members’ financial needs. This position will meet assigned share, deposit, lending and referral partner targets and support the Credit Union in all Initiatives with a positive attitude and willingness to get the job done.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Receives and processes banking financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments. Sells Cashier’s checks to credit union members, processes credit card cash advances. Receives currency for coin and verifies amounts. Cashes checks according to written procedures. Properly identifies members and cashes checks according to written procedures. Balances cash drawer daily to assure accuracy in transactions and notifies supervisor regarding any outages. Appropriately apply dual custody and security policies to safe guard negotiable items and currency. Analyzes member’s banking financial needs and effectively cross-sells credit union products and services through referrals to Financial Service Representatives and Meriwest partners including Meriwest Wealth Advisors and Mortgage Company. Researches, troubleshoots, and resolves customer and internal inquiries regarding policies, practices, and products Assist other departments and branches with transactions as needed, provide support for the department and branch managers in fulfilling customer requests and merchant verifications.Other Miscllaneous duties as assigned. Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Minimum Qualifications: High School degree or equivalent required. Two to five years Credit Union or Banking experience required. Experience with branch operations such as vault responsibility preferred. Cash handling and customer service experience is strongly preferred. Courtesy and tact are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with customers and others inside and outside the organization, generally regarding fairly routine matters for the purposes of giving and obtaining information or instructions, updating or referring. Communications require shorter and not in-depth discussions most of the time. Must be PC literate; experience with banking software a plus. Verifiable job history showing stability, consistency, dependability and accountability. Must be available to work Saturdays. Do you want to be valued as an employee?

The Member Services Representative II position is a Grade 5. Salary Range: $20.00 to $30.00 Target Range: $20.00 to $25.00* * The target range for entry in a new position is between the minimum and midpoint of the range, depending on experience and qualifications
