Job Description - Membership Sales Representative

Pay Range: $23 - $26 /hr + commission

The Place: The Oshman Family Jewish Community Center (OFJCC) is an exciting and innovative non-profit organization in the heart of Silicon Valley. The Job: Are you great at sales and want to work at a state-of-the-art fitness center? If so, this might be the role for you! The Membership Sales Representative is responsible for developing leads and enrolling new members to meet sales goals. This person builds rapport and lasting relationships with prospective and current members to promote retention and referrals. The role requires a proactive approach for engaging with current and prospective members while maintaining the OFJCC’s highest standards of customer service.

The Core Duties:

Build ongoing relationships with potential and current members to provide a positive and welcoming environment.
Drive sales to reach goal metrics and identify opportunities to achieve/exceed those financial goals.
Lead engaging and informative tours for prospective members while educating them on the benefits of the OFJCC’s health and wellness center.
Assist with implementing monthly membership sales campaigns.

The Essentials:

Self-starter, highly motivated, organized, with good time management and follow-up skills
A passion for fitness and wellness
Minimum of 4 years of sales experience
Experience with personal training and different styles of group exercise classes is a plus, but not required
Demonstrated diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate information clearly in English, written & oral
Proven ability to prioritize a large workload and work within time constraints
Genuine interest in listening & helping other people achieve their health and wellness goals
Ability to problem solve, take initiative, set priorities, handle multiple projects, and exercise good judgment in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-driven environment
High School diploma/GED equivalent required
Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays when needed
Positive, upbeat and enthusiastic about working in a non-profit environment
