We're located in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana County with mental health providers of all skillsets and credentials. As an ODC Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for patient care, documentation and communication with the Program Director.This position is full time: M-F 9am-5pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with clients who may be experiencing substance use disorders
Assess patient needs, apply ASAM level of care considerations
Create and manage individualized treatment plans
Provide individual and/or group counseling intervention to those experiencing various behavioral health conditions, in accordance with the treatment plan
Coordinate with a full-spectrum of internal and external providers by way of referral
Act as an advocate for program participants with courts, schools, treatment centers, and other services as appropriate in order to make referrals and conduct follow-ups
Prepare written reports, regular case dictation and summaries for consultation in accordance with ethical, program, and required time standards
Participate in curriculum development and supervision of clients
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have an active OHIO LPC, LPCC or LSW, MSW licensure
Preferred: 1-2 years previous experience working with patients experiencing dual diagnosis/substance use disorders
Demonstrates the ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all ethical standards re: clinician and employee conduct
Must be organized, detail oriented
Must have competent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Good working knowledge of computers and familiarity of Microsoft Office.
Experience working with a team of professional staff desirable

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to perform job responsibilities in a facility with multiple levels and without elevator or mechanical transportation.
