Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate clinician to join our dynamic team at our Young Adult Day Program. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in helping participants aged 18-28 develop social and emotional skills through counseling, mentoring, and group instruction. You'll work with small groups both within our program facility and during community outings, guiding individuals toward greater independence in daily living, relationships, and self-advocacy. Key Responsibilities
Provide individual and group counseling sessions tailored to participants' needs, focusing on emotional regulation, social interaction, and personal development.
Mentor and instruct small groups (typically 4-8 participants) in skill-building activities, such as communication workshops, conflict resolution, and goal-setting exercises.
Facilitate community-based outings to practice real-world independence, including public transportation navigation, social outings, and vocational exploration.
Collaborate with team members to create individualized support plans.
Conduct assessments and track progress using evidence-based tools, adjusting interventions as needed to promote growth.
Maintain accurate documentation, including session notes, progress reports, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Foster a safe, inclusive environment that encourages self-expression and builds confidence among participants.
Participate in staff training, program development, and family engagement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Licensed or certified clinician (e.g., LCSW, LMHC, LPC, CRC, or equivalent) with current licensure in NC.
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a Rehabilitation Counseling.
At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups effectively.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community outings.
Compensation: $21.00 - $23.00 / hour
