Mental Health Tech

 Under the direction of an R.N. assists the R.N. with patient care activities as assigned.  Maintains a safe and therapeutic milieu by being physically present on milieu and observing, monitoring, intervening and supervision of patients. 

 Reports patient observation to the R.N. and documents accurately.  Role models healthy problem-solving , effective communication and listening skills.  Maintains a therapeutic relationship at all times. 

¨ High school graduate or equivalent preferred

¨ Current BCLS certification.

¨ Prefer 1 year of chemical dependency experience in residential setting

If currently in recovery, must have minimum of 1-year recovery.  

¨ Must have a valid Louisiana Driver’s License
