Mental Health Therapist

• CLASSIFICATION: Fulltime, Exempt
• PAY: $55,000 annually / $26.44 hourly (BOE)

POSITION PURPOSE:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ensure the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of all clinical documentation in accordance with Managed Care Organization (MCO) requirements, payer expectations, Emory Valley Center policies, and applicable licensing or accrediting entities.

- Perform initial and ongoing clinical assessments to identify mental health, behavioral, emotional, psychosocial, and functional needs of individuals receiving services within the scope of licensure and supervision.

- Develop, review, and update individualized treatment plans, Plan of Care (POC) goals, therapeutic interventions, and measurable outcomes aligned with each person’s Person-Centered Support Plan (PCSP) and identified needs.

- Conduct individual, group, and/or family counseling sessions using evidence-based practices to support clients' mental health and emotional well-being.

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.

- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards related to clinical practice and documentation.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Master’s degree in social sciences with an emphasis in psychology, counseling, social work, or other related fields (must be willing to obtain related board licensure).
• Must have a valid Tennessee driver’s license with a good driving record. 
• Duties may require occasional after-hours work and travel to organizational sites. 
• Required training/certifications provided by the organization including CPR/First Aid.
