We are currently hiring a therapist for our new location in Rapid City, SD, opening in July 2025! 

Midwest Wellness Institute (MWI) is an outpatient multidisciplinary group practice with established office locations in South Dakota and Iowa. We provide general psychotherapy and psychological testing services, medication management services, interventional psychiatric services such as Spravato and TMS, and Substance Abuse/Addiction Services in conjunction with MAT services. 

We are an experienced multi-disciplinary team dedicated to serving the mental health needs of children, adolescents, and adults throughout the Midwest. We aim to provide transformative and comprehensive care by using an integrated approach that incorporates the unique bio-psycho-social factors of each patient & leverages our diverse expertise across various complementary service lines to develop an individualized care plan with innovative solutions.

What does your day-to-day look like? 

• Diagnose and treat mental health disorders with the utmost compassion, integrity, and commitment to excellence. 
• Establish a positive and trusting rapport with clients. 
• Position may include therapy, IOP, and substance abuse evaluation responsibilities.
• Create and update individualized treatment plans according to client needs and circumstances. 
• Make recommendations/referrals to specialists as necessary. 
• Maintain thorough notes of client interactions and adhere to strict confidentiality standards. 
• Accept a variety of insurance. 
• Attend team meetings and clinical consultative meetings. 
• Work with a variety of clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups within your skill set and scope of practice. 

Requirements

• Must be a licensed mental health therapist in South Dakota
• Must maintain knowledge of the latest treatment modalities and Evidence-Based Models. 
• Must take initiative, demonstrate sound judgment, and demonstrate strong interpersonal and time-management skills. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organization & time management skills.
